Adult Social Care requires x2 Specialist Care Officers, for a private organisation based within Hampshire. Ideally our client is looking for candidates to start a position ASAP.

Purpose of the job:
Working closely with the Registered Manager and other co workers across the company, a specialist worker will bring their particular skills to the home in ensuring that person centred programmes are implemented effectively for the service users.

Key Tasks:
1. Assist senior officer staff and other professionals with their responsibilities for identifying the needs of people using the service.
2. Help people to be as independent as possible in their personal care including personal hygiene, cleaning, mending, buying clothing, care of room and their belongings.
3. General home making duties to enhance the quality of life for people using the service.

Key Skills & Abilities:
* Ability to work as part of an integrated health and social care team.
* Ability to use initiative.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to prioritise one's own workload.
* This post will require you to move and handle people safely for which training will be given.
* Understanding of good practice in relation to caring for service users.
* A full driving licence and/or use of car to escort service users home would be advantageous
