The SPARK Learning Centre on Oxford Road, provide support to young people who have been excluded from mainstream school Mon to Fri term time 9-3 pm. We also tutor young people who have just moved into the area, while their applications in to mainstream school placements are being processed.
At all other times, afterschool, weekends, holidays, we run personalised tuition, where students bring their work and we offer the support to complete at a high standard.
We are offerring gap year students and anyone else the opportunity to volunteer at our centre.
1-2-1 TUITION AT THE SPARK LEARNING CENTRE
We will improve your child’s exam grade.
Speak to SPARK about tutoring your child.
Do you worry that your child is underachieving?
Do you fear your child may fall behind as a result of large classes?
Do you worry about the standard of their homework?
The SPARK Learning Centre provides a comfortable, quiet and calm learning environment for pupils who benefit from a Teacher Supervised learning or homework session. All work is recorded of Record sheet.
Does your child experience persistent difficulty with some aspects of their learning?
Moving from Primary to Secondary school can be very challenging and frightening for young children. That is why we pioneered the “Bridge the Gap” mid-summer course for children who were moving up to their `big` school. The course ran for two weeks, mid August, and prepared children for entry to secondary school. They learned and chatted about the differences they will find in their new school. And also learned about and try out their new subjects, and how to look after their school diary, and manage their homework.
All who attended this course are able to get extra help from SPARK STUDY CLUB during the AUTUMN TERM at their new school, help them gain confidence and settle into their new education routine.
We have 35 state of the art computers, with award winning educational programmes. Vlunteering staffs are qualified, experienced and vetted. Our tuition is one-to-one a method proven to be the most efficient way of learning. Our software does Assessment tests to tell you how your child is doing in ALL their core curriculum subjects. Best of all, the software hugely increases your child's self-confidence with computers, and it’s fun for the child.
SPARK EduCare is a Community Interest Company (CIC), not-for-profit.
