Job details
Two temporary Supported Housing Officers are required to work with mostly elderly residents in the Slough area.
The successful applicant will be required to make daily visits to clients, review support plans, complete risk and needs assessments, and where necessary make referrals to other agencies eg Social Services, GP etc.
Skills and Experience
Applicants must have relevant experience of working with vulnerable adults and/or older people, assisting them with decision making and facilitating activities.
Must have previously completed needs and risk assessments, and have a good understanding of best practice in the provision of supported housing. Must be fully conversant with relevant legislation and policy issues.
Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Good attention to detail to ensure thorough record keeping. Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently.
Must be in possession of a relevant qualification ie National Warden's Certificate, Supported Housing Certificate or equivalent.
Must have a valid First Aid certificate, and a current Enhanced CRB Disclosure.
Must have a full valid UK driver's licence and suitable transport.
IT Literate.
Other information
Immediate start for both positions, with the assignment duration being a minimum of 2 months.
