Researchers at the Hugh Sinclair Unit of Human Nutrition in the Department of Food Biosciences (University of Reading) are conducting a study examining the effects of different amounts of beetroot on blood pressure.

If you are:

Male

Aged between 18 and 64

Willing to attend the Nutrition Unit for four days, at least one week apart

Willing to wear a blood pressure monitor for four 24 hour periods

It is hoped that this research will provide evidence for the benefits of beetroot consumption on blood pressure and whether there is a dose dependent response on 24 hour blood pressure measurements.
