Senior Staff Nurse & Staff Nurse
We are currently looking for a staff nurse and senior staff nurse to work on a full time permanent basis in the day and long-stay wards within a leading hospital in Surrey.
The day ward mainly cares for patients after minor surgical procedures and endoscopy while the long-stay ward mainly cares for post surgery patients including major orthopaedic, general, cosmetic and gynaecology. Both candidates must have an NMC pin number and have a strong nursing background in orthopaedic care with experience in other areas of surgery. You will be expected to work 1-2 evenings per week, 1 in 4 weekends and night shifts all on an internal rotation.
Additionally within the senior staff nurse role you will be required to take on duties in both wards, whilst assisting and supporting the ward manager with the day to day running of the wards and have some responsibility for mentoring junior staff. You will have skills in organisation and communication and have proven to go beyond the remit of your normal role and experience within a senior role.
