We are a small firm of Certified Accountants in Woodley providing accounting, tax and business consulting services to small and medium sized enterprises in a variety of industries.

Our work load is increasing and we now require the services of someone with some experience at the AAT (or similar) level to help with preparation of accounts, maintaining client accounts and assisting with client management. Initially the role will be part-time but will grow into a F/T position within the future (6-12 months).

You need to be proficient in:
1. Sage, Quickbooks
2. Excel
3. Word
4. matters of VAT, preparing accounts to trial balance, PAYE/NIC, some knowledge of FRSSE and IFRS

Experience in a practice is essential or experience in your own bookeeping service would be fine. Sadly, it would not suit a person with experience in commerce as the requirements of accounting in a practice environment is very different.

The ideal condidate would also be flexible with working hours, work days, have a driver's licence and their own car, English speaking and have a positive attitude to assisting the practice to grow and create a F/T role for the incumbant. We're not particularly interested in taking on a typical "worker"-type... we think of ourselves as creative, different, client-focussed, passionate and we need the candidate to have the same values.
