3rd Line Support Engineer
Our client, a provider of over the air entertainment is looking for a 3rd Line Support Engineer to join their existing IT team based within their head office.
Reporting into the Head of IT, you will be responsible for the day to day implementation, configuration, support and maintenance of the LAN/WAN network infrastructure and back office environment combining Wintel platforms, security and telephony systems.
Within this role, you will be expected to take a key part in evaluating and recommending new tools and technologies to enhance end user productivity and effectiveness as well as to improve the capabilities and usability of existing systems.
Our client is looking for individuals who can demonstrate at least 4 years commercial experience of working within a network infrastructure support capacity along with demonstrable experience in the support, administration and configuration of Windows XP, Windows 2003 servers, Exchange 2003/2007, Firewalls, Cisco switches & routers, Backup products such as Backup Exec and network monitoring tools.
Individuals who are qualified to CCNA standard or working towards the accreditation or have experience in the optimisation of operations architecture, knowledge and understanding of internet security and security software, IT facilities planning including experience of UPS and disaster recovery planning is desirable though not essential.
Our client is looking for dynamic and flexible individuals who can demonstrate a pro-active approach to problem solving, be an active team player and be able to work on their own initiative. Candidates must also be willing to work weekends and nights on occasions depending on business loads and project requirements.
