Our client who are a significant player in the Mobile Telco market is looking for a Node B Commissioning Engineer. This is a crucial role as part of a designated Field team dealing with 2G and 3G network enhancement tasks, primarily involved with commissioning of 2G and 3G RAN elements. The Commissioning Engineer role is challenging from the variety of work offered to the skills required to ensure all work is delivered to high standards. The Node B Commissioning Engineer will be expected to utilise best practice and process ownership to ensure the highest possible quality of service to the customer.

Reporting to the Team Leader the Node B Commissioning Engineer will:-

* Evaluate and carry out commissioning work including, but not limited to:~
* Complete any outstanding installation work, to include coaxial cable termination
* Carryout acceptance and commissioning activities on Ericsson 2G and 3G and potentially ALU 3G network elements
* Carryout network expansions on both 2G and 3G network elements
* Engage with third parties to resolve issues.
* Work as part of a team
* Self motivated
* Adherence to commissioning processes
* Be able to work remotely and in co-operation with office based staff
* Be able to work in a safety conscious manner and to agreed H&S procedures

The Commissioning Engineer will support Field Team duties as required. Delivering planned work network enhancements in line with SLA's and KPI's and performance reporting

Operational Experience required for the Node B Commissioning Engineer is as follows:
* Experience in a high-pressure front line environment is desirable.
* Exposure to Process Improvement methodologies in a customer focused organisation.
* Ability to assimilate and prioritise complex events within given time-scales, reporting and managing these events within a workflow management tool.
* Good understanding of how the 2G /3G network is structured.
* Excellent understanding of a Radio Base Station and its configuration.
* Excellent knowledge of Ericsson 2G 3G network entities and preferably ALU 3G RAN network elements
* Methodical and flexible approach to work/tasks.
* Experience of using workflow and process management tools
* A comprehension of services and products, in order to understand the service management of the Vodafone network.
* 3 years experience in a Mobile Network Commissioning environment
* Working at Heights / Rooftop Worker certification
* Good understanding of radio environment
* Adaptable, able to work through alternative solutions to achieve the desired end result
* Ability to use transmission test equipment, spectrum analyser, and TEMS equipment
* Use of own vehicle and tools (IT equipment will be provided)
