Our Client currently requires a support analyst
Duties to include
1. Perform on site analysis,diagnosis, and resolution of complex desktop problems for end-users, and reccomend and implement corrective solutions, including off-site repair for remote users as needed.
2. Install, configure, tests, maintain, monitor, and touubleshoot end user workstation hardware, networked peripheral devices, and networking hardware products.
3. Assess the need for and implement performance upgrades to PC's, including the installation of I/O and NIC cards, hard disks, hard drives, RAM, CD-ROMs, etc.
4. Where required, administer and resolve issues with associated end-user workstation networking software products.
5. Receive and respond to incoming calls and/or e-mails regarding desktop problems.
6. Ensure that physical desktop connections (i.e RJ-45 Ethernet jacks and connectors between PCs and servers, etc.) are in proper working order.
7. Develop and maintain an inventory of all monitors, keyboards, hard drives, network cards, and other components and equipment.
8. Accurately document instances of desktop equipment or component failure, repair, installation, and removal.
9. If necessary, liaise with third-party support and PC equipment vendors.
10. Conduct research on desktop products in support of PC procurement and development efforts. Evaluate and reccomend products for purchase.
11. Assist in developing long-term strategies and capacity planning for meeting future desktop hardware needs.
12. Develop help sheets and frequently asked questions lists for end users.
13. Liaise with, and provide training and support to, end users and staff on computer operation and other issues.
14. Support development and implementation of new computer projects and new hardware installations.
15. Create and maintain documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping.
16. Manage network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, hubs, and UPSs.
17. Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
18. Upgrade and maintain backup software and perform system backups and recovery.
