Job Title: PSV / HGV Technician / Auto Electrician

Our client operates a number of busy bus depots and requires 2 Auto Electricians and multiple engineers to work of their fleet of vehicles.


Purpose

To maintain vehicles to the standard required by TfL and VOSA so as to achieve maximum vehicle availability. Responsible for working in a safe manner as stated in current legislation policies and procedures.


Job Description for Bus Mechanic:

Responsible for routine inspection/maintenance of company vehicles in accordance with established company procedure and VOSA and TfL requirements.
To diagnose faults by road testing vehicle and by the use of laptop diagnostic software, pressure and brake gauges, rolling roads, multimeters etc. Where necessary to refer to Engineering Manager/Assistant Engineering Manager for approval for repair.

Person Specification
An understanding of Auto Electrical, mechanical engineering and vehicle maintenance procedures, for all types of vehicles operated by the garage. Advanced automotive electrics and relevant qualifications are required as well as previous experience.
Computer Skills including laptop diagnosis

The Bus Mechanics should have the ability to gain a PCV license if not already held.
Salary: £28,000 - £36,000
