Vb.net Developer Support Analyst
Required: VB.net Support Developer
Based in Basingstoke a position has arisen within a market leading organisation for a support developer to join a growing team. The role will be to provide support and development across the company intranet, Internet and extranet web applications used throughout the entire company.
The successful candidate will provides resilient and innovative solutions to meet the changing business requirements. Assisting the business in production of requirements and analysis for project work, the appropriate applicant will design and develop appropriate solutions, predominantly using the Microsoft tool-set VB .NET (ASP.NET) / Sharepoint platforms.
The role includes the day to day management of the web applications and the resolution of operational problems that occur either from within the team, from the business or from technical faults
Key Responsibilities:
Development of .NET solutions in line with business requirements
Administration of web applications, inc version control, backup, recovery and upgrade
Development and support of Database logic for use by the .NET solutions and by other `offline` processes
Analysis and Design support for projects requested by the user community
Project Management of VB .NET (ASP.NET) / SharePoint specific projects from initiation to completion in line with business requirements and deadlines
Independent Problem Management of production faults as they occur, including reallocation of resource or engagement of other resource to resolve the problem.
Documentation of solutions to required standards.
Principle Skills:
VB .NET (ASP.NET)
Requirements Analysis and Design.
PL/SQL and Oracle 9i or above.
Desirable Skills:
Knowledge of Smart Client and Web Services technologies
SharePoint 2003/2007 (configuration, development, administration).
Perl and batch scripting
