BLMC / Austin ranger.convertible (very rare) donor car: BLMC / Austin 1300 gt.

Project kit car.

Not on a Q plate as it has a normal 'Y' age related road number plate, unlike a lot of kit cars. Great for insurance as Q plates are harder to insure.

The Y reg (80's plate) is related to the year of the kit car project completion, not the age of the donor car:

All parts engine (gone), chassis, etc... are from an Austin 1300 GT which stopped being built in 1974, except for the kit (fibreglass body basically).
If you can prove the year of manufacture of the major components (donor vehicle), then there is a good chance it could be Tax Exempt, and therefore reclassified.
This could be done by the original engine number, which I still have (but does not come with this advert as it in my mini scamp).

Austin 1300 Gt donor Kit Car:

* Car ran and drove fine before engine removed. Only needed rear wheel bearings & front cv outer on driver side was a little rattly , seat belts needed putting back in and a couple of rivets fixing the body back to the frame.

* Engine recently removed for other project ,

* Space frame chassis with fibreglass body and floors ,

* 1300 gt front & rear hydrolastic subframes (was all working fine but drivers side has dropped so is currently chocked up on wood)

* Good disk brakes.

* Comes with the original 5 x 13" cosmic alloys from the 1300 gt , (these are very rare and sort after as not all the 1300 gt's came with the same wheels (most have hub caps) (tyres no good) , wheels may also fit other classic cars. Two the tyres have gone really flat as you can see in the photo since it has been stood, (hasn't been there that long) and they were pumped up the other day to move the car and are still fine at the moment. The other two that you can't see are not deflated (they are fine for moving).

* Also comes with hoops for the soft top roof but sadly no canvas.
