We are a family of three living in Irvine, southern California,15 minutes from the beach and close to a large university.

Our baby boy is 6 months old and we are looking for a Swedish-speaking nanny with lots of infant experience. The main responsibility for you would be the care for our baby.

We are looking for someone to start earliest in November 2009.

My husband is Swedish and I was born and raised in the U.S. As a family around the dinner table, we are communicating in English.

After work and on the weekends we are connecting with friends over BBQ in the garden and excursions to the beach or the museums. We all love to be outdoors for relaxation and activity. To visit the farmers market in the neighborhood is one of our weekend favorites.

Only light day-to-day household work, such as preparing some meals, buying groceries, tidying up and incidental laundry would be expected. We currently have a housekeeper who comes twice a week and we will continue to use her services. The Au Pair would have to maintain her own living quarters. We are hoping the Au Pair will be a lively contribution to the bi-cultural spirit in the family, reinforcing the Swedish language, singing, reading, and cooking with the children. We are excited about sharing the beautiful California climate and landscape and the cultural and civic excitement that a world city, such as Los Angeles, has to offer, with you.

We offer:

* $ 950 stipend per month

Your qualifications:
* 20- 26 years old
* Degree as a preschool or kindergarten teacher, or pediatric nurse or two years exerience with babies/children
* Driver license, Basic English
* Interest to stay one to two years
