Ideally based for suitable access to the M3/M4 corridor covering projects across the southern region we are looking for someone to work within a high calibre team of service professionals, actively supporting our Site Teams and Customer Services to deliver projects safely, on time and within budget, working with the team to achieve industry leading standards of performance.

The ideal candidate will have a good standard of education, previous site experience and be knowledgeable about relevant legislation, coupled with a minimum of NVQ 3 in Electrical installation + C&G 2391. You should be self motivated with the ability to work on your own initiative, be a confident communicator and be able to work as part of a larger team.

Job Title: Electrician

Responsible To: Services Division – Electrical/Plumbing Works Manager

Responsible for: Group wide – Site Set Up / Temporary Systems / Electrical Services / Maintenance and Defect resolution.

General Responsibilities:

Working on their own as a lone Electrician or as part of a team, the operative will be expected to apply logical decision making skills, guided by clearly defined company policies, goals and initiatives.
The operative will be expected to work with other trades undertaking and assisting with their work where required.

Construction Phase
The operative is expected to work on construction sites, taking all safety measures and training to prevent danger to self, colleagues and equipment.
Role requirements:
Installation and maintenance of electrical systems
fault diagnosis service and repair of electrical systems.
In service testing of electrical plant and equipment.

Post Completion
Isolate, disconnect and remove from site all temporary electrical services.
Safe methods of work and safe isolation procedures are to be applied and the operative will carry out works in a phased manner to suit the site team requirement.
The operative will be expected to carry out works to completed projects to allow for defect resolution and to maintain a high level of customer service.

It is expected that as a professional team member the operative will be able to liaise with all departments, staff and contractors.

For each project the job holder may be required to carry out any Project / Site specific requirements which have been agreed with the Services Division – Electrical/Plumbing Works Manager.
In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed the job holder may be required to perform other duties assigned by the Services Division – Electrical/Plumbing Works Manager from time to time, outside the normal sphere of work as may be reasonably requested.
The job holder will be required to undertake such flexible and additional working hours as may be necessary, within reason, to facilitate the efficient fulfilment of the duties required by the position.

Salary/Hourly rate is negotiable depending on experience.
