What can you expect in the Sales Engineer’s position?

We’ve got grand plans and want you to be part of it. The Sales Engineer will provide pre-sales support by taking ownership of the technical sale of company products and services offerings during customer pre-sales activities. A Sales Engineer at Elastic Path is a product expert who understands Elastic Path Commerce’s functionality in detail as well as the underlying technology/implementation.

Once you join our team, you will be accountable for achieving realistic yet challenging goals:
1. Support Sales team in meeting quarterly revenue targets by assisting with the preparation of proposals, addressing customers technical questions or concerns, eliciting solution details during the sales cycle, and providing high level “gut check” estimates to the sales representative
2. Review opportunity plan to remove all obstacles and assist the sales team in closing the deal
3. Provide technical leadership to customers to help them understand advantages of company products and solutions to meet their business needs (product demonstration, proof of concept delivery, etc.)
4. Assist customers and Elastic Path with the development and presentation of high level architectural solutions which achieve short and long term business and/or technical goals
5. Participate in sales activity encompassing standard company methodologies and solutions
6. Provide customer feedback to Product Development and Professional Services
7. Act as liaison with customer and internal team to ensure a smooth transition from sales to project execution
8. Educate sales team on technical concepts as it relates to our product as well as our customer’s technology
