I've recently moved to Basingstoke from Dublin and have found it rather difficult to meet new people, especially neat interesting ones! My flatmate and I are big foodies and I work in wine so we're hoping to find like-minded people around.

I was thinking of starting up a dinner club that could meet up once a fortnight in town and eventually move to dinner at people's homes (we love to cook here!) and occasional wine tastings. If there is anyone out there who's keen on meeting new people, eating good food and drinking good wine drop me an e-mail and we'll organise a night out.
