This Richmond based Pupil Referral Unit is seeking an ICT KS4 coordinator. This will be a full time role and demands an experienced and dynamic individual to fill this vacancy. This PRU is “good with outstanding features” OFSTED 2008.
You will be required to provide professional leadership and develop the ICT curriculum area in order to ensure high standards of teaching and learning throughout the service. Your main focus will be to Year 10 and 11 pupils!
A focused and energetic individual is required to contribute towards a positive learning culture that promotes success and personal well being for both students and staff.
Daily responsibilities will include:
- Co-ordinate ICT across the service.
- Plan, Prepare and teach programmes of work to small groups or students who have been excluded.
- Line manage and monitor staff with the subject area
- To teach ICT to students with a wide range of educational needs & behaviour difficulties
- Assist in reintegrating these students into mainstream school or preparing them for further education and the world of work
You must have at least 2 years teaching experience within an SEN environment with specific attention to behaviour difficulties. QTS is essential as well as experience and qualifications relating to this ICT Co-ordinator role.
With such a position the school do require you to have a clear understanding of the issues relating to EBD, knowledge and understanding of recent legislation in relation to SEN and the National Curriculum.
You will need to have a valid CRB issued within the last 12 months and be available for interview immediately.
