Salary: basic c£18k pa (plus excellent bonus scheme – expected OTE £25k)
Based: Grazeley, Reading

Housed in modern offices near Reading we find previously unbilled revenue for utility companies. We identify and collect facility information for properties of similar type and build usage profiles to enable us to compare a property’s estimated usage with its actual usage using our nifty analysis techniques.

All this really helps our clients correctly bill their big users. We have been so successful our clients want us to do a lot more. This is where you come in. We'd like you to come and work with the team and help us develop and grow our business using your excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Reporting to the R&D Manager you will develop ad hoc MySQL scripts to help the development team standardise and format complex datasets, and develop specific data analysis projects.

Ideally a graduate or post graduate in engineering, computer science or IT, you will have strong database programming skills gained whilst working in a commercial environment or on academic research projects. You will also have an excellent eye for detail, be able to work on your own initiative, with excellent interpersonal skills and a bit of commercial acumen. Knowledge of Java and web application development will also be an advantage, with further programming & development opportunities possible for the right candidate.
