This is a permanent post as ‘Subject leader of Mathematics’ looking to begin January 2010 due to the current teacher retiring.
A ‘good school with some outstanding features’ – (OFSTED 2007) based in the west end of London are looking to appoint for this January post by the end of November, and require CV’s in the first instance with a view to interview within the next 3 weeks. The Head wishes to appoint a positive and organised professional with management experience. You MUST be a qualified teacher with previous experience with an SEN school.
This school works with a variety of statements ranging from SEBD to cystic fibrosis including a special support service for pupils experiencing exceptional medical difficulties, such as mental health issues and cancer. These pupils are aged between 11-16yrs with fewer than 100 pupils on roll.
The successful individual needs to have a solid track record as a committed candidate is required to work with such pupils. You need to be an excellent classroom practitioner, with excellent and in depth knowledge of the Maths curriculum, able to teach from entry level to GCSE. A strong personality, able to motivate and enthuse would work well within this environment.
