My client is the UK’s largest direct and online supplier of trade tools, accessories and hardware products. With years of experience in the industry, they service handymen and serious DIY enthusiasts all over the UK. They currently have a requirement for an Store Manager for one of their stores in Twickenham.
The role would suit someone that has had previous experience at Store management level specifically within the DIY/Power Tool sector. Your responsibilities will include , increasing sales, providing exceptional customer service and managing and motivating a small team. The company have structured KPIs in place which you will have to work towards including sales targets, shrinkage targets, profit and loss accountability and customer service through mystery shop results. You will be a key holder and need to be physically fit as there is a logistical element to the job in terms of checking in deliveries/stock etc and assisting stores with merchandising, promotional events. You will report directly to the store operations manager.

Benefits include Excellent working hours, no late nights as the store closes at 6.00pm Mon- Friday and 5.30 pm on a Saturday, 5 days a week. My client most importantly looks for experience retailers that have sound product knowledge in the power tool sector or DIY sector. You will get plenty of autonomy in the position, one thing that they are really passionate about is how you will increase the sales within the stores, and the customer base is a split between trade and retail customers.
