Defendant Credit Hire Executive
Location: Reading
Salary: £22,000 - £24,000


We are looking for a paralegal with Insurance Litigation experience to start as soon as possible on a permanent basis with a legal 500 practice based in the centre of Reading, within walking distance of the Train Station. You will be managing a caseload of credit hire cases, both pre and post litigated defendant claims with some Personal Injury cases when they arise.


Responsibilities:


Handle and settle credit hire claims in the best interest of the client, keeping the charges to a minimum
Run a caseload from inception through to settlement with the supervision where necessary from a senior fee earner
You will work autonomously making daily decisions regarding the progress of each claim
Handling court hearings (following training)


Skills:


Academic or sector specific qualifications are not essential but are desirable.
An excellent level of litigation experience gained from within a legal field would be a distinct advantage.
Excellent communication skills
Excellent organisation and time-management skills in order to manage your own caseload
Good IT skills and a tactical mind
