Expenditure Administrator
Based on the outskirts of Reading our client seeks an experienced expenditure administrator for a six month maternity cover which may be subject to extension.
You will be an integral part of a team of 3 employees who manage the all non purchase ledger expenditure ie expenses, petty cash, sundry payments and treasury.
In addition you will:
- have a strong knowledge of debits and credits
- be deadline driven
- demonstrate strong attention to detail
- be able to work under your own initiative with minimal supervision
- have strong communication skills and be customer focused
- have a varied accounting background including payroll, purchase ledger and reconciliations
Key duties:
- Day to day banking - posting receipts and payments, reconciling accounts, managing CHAPS and BACS transfers
- Preparation of ad hoc manual cheques
- Processing petty cash returns and issuing funds
- Processing and payment of expenses
- Reconciling expenses to company control accounts
- Investigating un-reconciled credit card items and responding to employee queries
- Preparation of VAT returns
