Key accountabilities

To provide ARM engineering support to the company`s Project Programmes
Identification of ARM target specifications in support of the company`s Capital and Major Projects Programme
Design substantiation of systems providing a safety function
To provide guidance to facilities and projects on the determination and assessment of Safety Integrity Levels (SIL)and other BS EN standards and for compliance with NII Licence Conditions
Continuous review of the standards used by the department

Responsibilities

To ensure understanding and application of responsibilities with regard to the company`s environment, health, safety, security and quality standards
To ensure that projects meet the required level of availability, reliability and maintainability
To ensure that SIL assessments are conducted by facilities and projects correctly

Qualifications

Degree/HND in a recognised Engineering discipline
Chartered or actively working towards being so
Member of an appropriate Institution

Knowledge

Assessment of safety systems in terms of reliability
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Problem solving and decision making

Experience

ARM experience gained within Nuclear, Defence, Rail, Power or Petrochemical industries

Reliability Centred Maintenance
Through Life Cost analysis
ARM Calculations

To be able to provide interactive guidance to projects on ARM matters
