Snack Study
The aim of the study is to examine if snack consumption affects your mood and appetite.
Briefly you will be asked to attend the Hugh Sinclair Unit of Human Nutrition in Food Biosciences on 4 occasions for approximately 5hrs per visit from 8am -1pm with a minimum of one week apart. The day is flexible
During the morning you will be asked to complete a series of questionnaires and a total of two small blood samples will be taken.
We will provide you with breakfast and 2hrs later we will provide you with a snack (e.g. chees, yoghourt or milk)
1.5hrs after the smack we will provide you with a lunch, pasta and tomato sauce which you can eat until you feel comfortably satisfied and them you are free to go
You will be asked to stay in the Unit in order to avoid any physical activity during the study hours. There are facilities like t.v. radio internet and quiet area for working or reading.
You will receive payment as recognition of your participation in the study.
Important criteria for the study is not to be lactose intolerant and your body mass index between 25-30.
Firstly we have to arrange a screening session maximum 30mins to measure height, weight and take a small blood sample.
