Our client is a major leisure retail company with over 250 pubs, bars and restaurants throughout the UK. An opportunity exists for a Head Chef/Kitchen Manager creating freshly cooked British food. These venues are high turnover popular pub restaurants that require strong hands on management.
The primary objectives of the position will be to manage organise and co-ordinate the kitchen and food production for the unit and ensure the services are processed efficiently in line with company standards along with meeting budgeted forecasts.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced pro-active team player, committed and driven to achieve high standards and company goals. Have fresh British food knowledge and kitchen management experience as a Head Chef and be an effective communicator and motivator of staff along with being able to stay calm under pressure.
Main tasks;
*Oversee the day to day running of the kitchen operation
*Enforce hygiene regulations within the kitchen
*Be responsible for the correct use of all kitchen equipment
*Ensure the correct use of all food stocks
*Liaise with the Management team for the smooth running of the restaurant
*Assist with the management and training of staff
*Complete the induction of all new kitchen staff
*To control staff, providing work rota's etc
*Ordering all food stock
